Gianni Bardaro, is an internationally acclaimed Italian saxophonist, composer and certified sound therapist, author of six albums. He has signed the latest two for the major label “Universal Music”: “Unfolding Routes” recorded in Copenhagen and “Soul Blueprint” recorded in New York, featuring Multi-Grammy Award Randy Brecker and Colombian percussionist Samuel Torres.
Both albums awarded by JAZZIT magazine as among the best jazz albums of the year. Recognized by the international jazz press as a creative and original composer, as well as a unique haunting tone saxophonist, Gianni is also indefatigable, sharing his knowledge about the healing property of sound giving concerts and workshops in many different countries. He studied classical and jazz saxophone at the Conservatory of Music in Latina, then continued with an M.Mus. at the Conservatory of Music in Naples, specializing in Big Band arrangement and Jazz Improvisation. He was invited to attend one year at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium of Copenhagen, improving further studies in Composition and Jazz Improvisation.
His saxophone performances have touched international audience as well as several international projects and albums. Bardaro has played in many internacional festivals worldwide: Denmark, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Colombia, Panama, USA, Spain, India, Sweden, Latvia, etc; as well worked and recorded with international projects and artists including: Randy Brecker, Bob Mover, Jesper Bodilsen, Bruno Tommaso, Maria Pia De Vito, Samuel Torres, Gabriel Guerrero, Pietro Condorelli, Deniss Pashkevich, Pippo Matino, Aldo Bassi, Agostino Di Giorgio, David Boato, Francesco e Pierluigi Villani, Salvatore Tranchini, Pino Iodice, Pietro Iodice, Orient West Choir, Balticness Project, Riga Groove Electro and many more.
